Macropen - macrolide antibiotic, has bactericidal effect, in the low to high doses - bacteriostatic.

Dosage Forms:

Drug Interactions

Use caution when combined with the drug carbamazepine and ergot alkaloids, since the action macrofoams reduces their rate of metabolism in the liver and increase the level of concentration in the blood serum.

Simultaneous treatment with cyclosporine, warfarin, and other anticoagulants slows their rate of excretion.

drug does not infringe the pharmacokinetics of theophylline.
